Our Story
As social workers, Kevin and Lucia met and realized they were kindred spirits! They were soon married and started their family. At times, they found their careers fulfilling but they craved to serve their community in a different way. So after much deliberation, they decided to leave their jobs and look for a way to bring happiness and fun to others as well as have a vehicle to serve their community. After tossing around many ideas, the choice became obvious... Buy an Ice Cream Shop!!!
These days Ultimate Ice Cream is still providing love and happiness for Asheville and beyond. With the Flavor of the Month program, Random Acts of Ice Cream, and many other donations to the Asheville community, Kevin and Lucia are able to reach out and support other local businesses and non-profits and the populations that those organizations serve.

Our Dairy
At Ultimate Ice Cream, we are very proud of our dairy! It is sourced from a collection of small dairy farms within 150 miles of our creamery in Asheville, NC. Our milk has a high butterfat which allows us to craft a "super premium" ice cream! Super premium means you get more of the good stuff (butterfat) and less air with no fillers or conditioners. Our milk is free of antibiotics and synthetic growth hormones. It is super fresh! It takes as little as 24 hours for our dairy to reach our creamery from the farms! We also use local ingredients and organic fruits and vegetables for our many flavors... which now exceeds over 400 varieties! Please stop by our shops to enjoy one today!!
